Dom and Dave

( Dave and Dom )
Dom'

He started playing music at 6 years old and then never stooped. He has a bachelor degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Cape Town ( UCT ). He is a professional in piano, keyboard and double bass. He thought about producing electro music when he had to make some tracks to practice but he could not reproduce all the sounds he heard in his head so he started his passion for production.
-
The band's name comes from a joke about Dom's short and strange memory. He is able to remember a vaste range of useless events but can forgot in three seconds where his keys are.
The star is also interested in surfing, cannot drink too much alcohol and hates margarine.

Dave

He started his love story with music also at 6 years old but with a violin. However his teacher was tyrannic and one day, in a room full of instruments, he choose a saxophone. At 13 he played for the first time with his first group called Dorp.
Then he went to study jazz in the University of Cape Town where he met his long partner studio and Dave.

With Goldfish they created a new kind of electro music that's why since the beginning they get more fans every day.

Goldfish presentation

Composed by two musicians, Dominic Peters and David Poole,
Goldfish is the South African band phenomena. They play electronica and dance music with a background of jazz and African style.
Started in 2004, they are already international. You could have seen them in Ibiza, Tokyo, Dubai, Cannes and so on making the opening of some giants such as Paul van Dyk or Fatboy slim.
In 2008 they had 8 nominations to the South African Music Award including the Best Duo, Album of the Year, Best Producer, Best Dance Album.
Double bass, saxophones, flutes, vocal and keyboard are mixed with samplers, effects, synths and improvisation. Goldfish has recreated the word DJ ( for goods ! ) and it is not the millions of fans, known as "fischies" who are going to contradict me.
